    my apricot tree has been in flower for a week now but with snow squalls all the time and temps down to 2-3deg each night we have seen no bees (we usually get some bumbles roaming around but not this year)so its been on with the coat and gloves and into the greenhouse with a kids paintbrush to pass the pollen about, it will be the first fruiting year so I would hate to get a blank, just starting to drool thinking about the soft ripe delicious fruit.....

    I had to do the same a couple of weeks ago with my nectarine tree in the conservatory, I hope you dressed in a stripy top and "buzzed" like a bee as you did it so the flowers were tricked into thinking you really were a bee!

      its wriggling the rear end I have trouble with, (I do have a dennis the menace jumper though) and I saw a bumble today flitting around the ornamental cherry flowers in the front garden, and the sun came out, on the same day too....
