I'm after a quince tree, what type should I get.

I'm after a quince tree for round the front door. There is lots of sun and heat etc, I'm wanting it in a pot so I can move it if need be, I don't want a massive one 5 feet or below would be fine. Does anyone know a nice type I should buy. I'm clueless with size etc...

You can get patio quinces - I think the variety I've seen most on the internet is Sibleys.

Otherwise have a look on the fruit tree websites for quinces on dwarfing rootstock. I have a Vranja quince which is only 6ft at 5 years old, but it is being pruned to keep it that size and I'm going to have a bash at fan training it one day soon.

I seen the one on kew gardens tv program and want that type that I can put in a pot

That was the Sibleys dwarf quince if my hearing was right...
