Anyone any idea what the cause of this is? It's too even for scorching I think, is it a pest, or general plant disease, problem? Apart from Strawberries I'm new to this fruit business.
Pear scab, a bit like Black spot on roses. Spray with a systemic fungicide if you do not mind chemicals, or Copper sulphate if you wish to go down the organic route.
If it is a small tree and only a few leaves are affected, then you can remove them and burn or bin. Any which fall should also be collected rather than left on the ground. Sadly it does get on to the fruit as well. They are still edible, peeled, but will not keep.
