The one I gave to my mum earlier this year has been giving her a handful of fruit each day for a couple of weeks now.
She says they're not the tastiest raspberries in the world (possibly because we've had so much rain) but the joy of popping out to get them fresh for her yoghurt every morning really makes her day!

    Twelve quid well spent then

I ended up with 6 plants at the back end of last year. All 6 are now well established and producing good canes ready for fruit next year.

Cilla, Ruby Beauty should not fruit in its first year it should fruit next year on the canes grown this season. After fruiting next year you cut the canes that have fruited down to ground level leaving the new canes to fruit the year after.

Thanks Pots. Is there anything to do for the winter, like cut down or put in cold frame as I don't have a gh?

No they are hardy, mine will stay outside.

No cutting down this year or there will be no fruit next season.

I got 3 ready potted ones a few months ago from T&M, and they have formed small bushes but no flowers at all :-( I guess not this year!

These are my ruby beauties, they are in 30L pots

I really like them, not as productive as the taller varieties but good fun

I am really glad that you lot, and Potty in particular know what you are talking about - Well Done All.

My RB's are still quite small, about 12 in high and I thought I would have to trim them down to soil level..............nope.............I will just leave them alone and hope for fruit next year.

In the T&M instructions it said to put one plant pet 10 l pot, so that's what I did. 30 l pots are generous! Can't wait till next year! They look good!

I've just ordered some on T&M's special offer (along with an acer for £1.99 and maybe some seeds... hum) - I've loved the handful of raspberries I've had this year so excited for lots more!

                            Hi Ryez

Raspberry Ruby Beauties will not fruit in their first year as they will only fruit on the previous year canes. Next year your bush will be in prime condition to form an abundance of raspberries for you to enjoy

                            Kind regards

                            Natalie.

A word of warning to those yet to purchase.

I bought 3 plants last year, they arrived in what looked to be a very healthy state, following instructions I planted them up outside and waited. They then appeared to go down hill losing all their foliage, not a bit of green left.

I thought I had done something wrong and ordered 3 more plants, these I potted on and kept in the GH to give them a chance to settle in. Three days after the second delivery arrived SWMBO came in and said "Have you looked at the raspberries lately, they have little green leaves on them."

Sure enough the three from the first delivery were now producing foliage, result I now have 6 healthy plants

                              Moral be patient Potty.....

Mine are looking good so I hope that next year there will be a complete raspberry fest in the back garden.
