New rasp canes

[Three jobs]

I planted 8 summer fruiting raspberry canes last month.The canes were about a foot long.Some buds are forming on the canes ......should I cut these down to the ground and let all the energy produce the new canes for the next year or just leave things alone?

Personally I would leave them, even if only as a marker for where the canes are.
