I wrapped each branch (small 7ft tree) with fine netting,2 layers on each, working so far and an old CD dangling to frighten all birds off..

The bags worked fine ancee. The Cherries fell off into the bag. The downside was the birds got the rest so the Cherry tree is no longer.
