  • what should i plant next

Good evening all. my new found hobby is taking over my garden and life ha ha.... i have a few trees in my garden and only enough space to plant one more small tree or grow some berries & i can't decide what. if i choose a tree I'm thinking of a dwarf pear tree.
i would really like to see a picture of a dwarf pear tree mature enough its producing fruit.

Happy Gardening i hope you all have a great weekend
    Regards ng.

Depends what you mean by dwarf.......pruned to be small, grafted on dwarf rootstock, also what size do you consider dwarf? 1m,2m, 3m. Sorry to be a pain but it comes naturally I have a pear that is on quince C rootstock I think (so max height around 3m) It is a cheap and cheerful and it has fruited most years since I bought it but it was damaged when I moved 2 years ago and I am now fan training it. It is only about a metre high. I will post a pic later for you.

Have you the room for Raspberries?
Feed the soil, not the plants.
      (helps if you have cluckies)

TY It is a Willams, I think this year will be the sixth year I have had it but it has had more than its fair share of neglect and abuse

I have had a Williams in the garden now for over 10-yrs and the bl**** thing has yet to produce a single pear, if none next year it will find itself on the compost heap as it has had several others to help pollination for the past 2-3yrs,the apples are the opposite as it looks to be a very promising crop...

In lidols this week they have pear trees (and apples, plums and cherries) each is a tree with a second variety grafted on so two for the price of one!

The label on all of them states 3m height and they are a 'v' shape and about six feet high now.
                £19.99

I'm trying to remember the varieties...apples were (I think) cox's orange, golden delicious, jonagold and another one. Pears were conference, william something, and I forget what else. Plums were victoria and a golden one. They's run out of the cherry at my local branch....which was what I had gone for!
