  • Victoria Plum

Good evening folks, I'm back again for you advice (i hope I'm not annoying anyone with all my questions) anyway i planted a victoria plum tree last weekend today i noticed some fruit bud starting to grow about 10-20 of them, they might have been on the tree when i bought it I'm not sure, my thoughts are should i be leaving these to grow or snipping them off. and letting the tree to grow more before fruiting? I'm not sure how old the tree is i bought it last weekend & like a total novice i binned the tags with the tree information on the tree stands about 1.5 metres.

    thanks in advance ng

Leave 1 or 2 if you want to be sure it is what it should be, remove everything else especially if it is not a very strong tree.

Thanks again, will it be ok just to snip with a pair of scissors? I'm scared of damaging the tree ha ha.

As long as the scissors are clean and it is the stems of the fruit you will be fine. The rest of the stem will die back and fall off
