    currants have some thing wrong and looks quite serious they are not cropping and hardly any new growth so I need to sort them had a great crop last year. Any ideas on how to treat please ?
    They have lots of bind weed around the roots maybe that not sure

    Well the second photo looks like blister aphid. I have it on my red currants this year but usually the leaves go red as well although it hasn't made a difference to my crop and overall the plant looks healthy.
    The top photo could be leaf spot although it doesn't look that bad on your photos. Have you had any leaves drop? Did you prune last year?

    If you think it's leaf spot you need to burn all fallen leaves. I'm sure someone on here had the same trouble last year. I'll go and look

      Ok thank you. I didn't prune last year would that have caused it ?

        I've moved this to Feeling Fruity where more fruit growers will see it.
        I don't think the lack of pruning would cause it - I'm very lax about pruning my currant bushes.
