  • Trees with lack of water

Good evening all...I'm thinking about when we jet off for our 2 week holiday next month my trees won't be getting watered ( unless we get a lot of rain) would this kill off the trees? Or would I be able to get them to spring back to life. Some of my trees are planted in the ground some are in quite large pots( containers)

    Regards ng.

They will probably be ok in pots even...depends what compost, what trees and how hot it gets!....depends what they are...

but I often leave mine for a few months at a time in the UK and although the ones in pots dry out and fall over the leaves only look slightly droopy..... they are fine after a watering

I would water them as much as possible shortly before you go , not a bit......a lot! ( I never do.....),

put a hosepipe on the soil for a decent length of time, like an hour or two if in the soil, and soak a pot the same way to ensure its holding as much water as possible.....

and then hope it doesnt rain all the time you are away
