  • strawberry runners

I have recently harvested a load of strawberries, from some plants that I bought and planted back in April.

I have no idea what variety they are.

However, there are no more flowers or strawberries on the plants, so I am guessing thats it for this year?

THe plants now have lots of runners on them, and I want to root them into several pots.

My question is, once the new plants have established themselves in the pots, what do I do with them then?

Can I plant them immediately ready for next year? Or should I keep in pots in the g/h until next spring before planting????

They can be planted once they are well established. Only keep the first plant from a runner and pinch off any other runners it makes.

They don't need any protection over winter they are tough as old boots!
