I have planted my bushes in a stupid position - when is it safe to move them please? In the autumn when you plant new bushes or in the spring when the new growth starts?

If you take a big enough root ball with them and give them plenty of water you can transplant them anytime. Cuttings are easier and root easily!

give them a good soak the night before, then lift them with as much of a rootball as possible to their new site, and I give each bush at least a gallon of water to settle it in, I moved mine in late april and they never seemed to realise they had been moved so we have just had a great crop (had to move them after greenhouse move put what seemed like everything in the wrong place)...Comment
