I fancy the tayberries but it says 'from cuttings' so not canes.
I'm not quite sure what this means really, cuttings come from bushes, surely?
I've never heard of a tayberry bush!

Most soft fruit is propagated from cuttings, they generally strike very easily and it's the best way to ensure continuity of variety as you're not relying on insects, pollination, seeds etc. The tayberry plants will be from 1 or 2 year old cuttings.
Blackberry and its hybrids can also be propagated by layering, where the tip of the plant is covered with soil and starts to root; this is how brambles take over the unused space on your plot when you're not looking!..

Yoink.
3 x autumn raspberry
3 x summer raspberry
2 x blackcurrant
All looking healthy, happy and with roots starting to show through the bottom of the pot.
It'll be a while till we can get these into their final places, the plot's having a redesign over autumn/winter. I take it I should pot these on from their 9cm pots into something more roomy? Any other care suggestions?
Thank you! Happy 1Bee here....
