with all the funny weather I never expected much from the Victoria plum, but although being 6-7 weeks behind their usual cropping time it looks like we will get a very reasonable crop from them, OH says with all the ice creams and fools etc in the big freezer we are running out of space and the rhubarb has yet to be picked (I pull it end of august each year then give it a good feed of chicken pellets and after all these years it is thriving), so that's puds sorted out, does anybody grow a nice bit of beef to go with some tasty parsnips?
