Jostaberry and blueberries?

Advice please, I have 2 blueberries in ericacious compost in pots, this is their first year, so,no fruit. I have a jostaberry that I'm intending to move, cos it's not in right place, also its first year.

Am thinking of putting blueberries directly in the ground, will they be ok with the ericacious compost just around them?

And will the jostaberry be ok if planted next to them? Will it be ok in slightly ericacious ground?

Will.the 2 fruit bushes be ok together basically?

I plan to move my Jostaberry to the allotment along with two Gooseberries so will follow this post to see what to do with them. Bought my Jostaberry from the Harrogate show last year but think it needs more sun than I have given it. I have space now at the allotment where I am starting a fruit area and I need to move prickly trees from the garden for the dogs safety (their eyes).

They should be fine Dotty. Just mulch them with coffee grounds, pine needles etc. Jostaberries are ok in slightly acidic soil but need plenty of growing space.

Jostaberries grow Hoooooooooooooge so don't plant them too close to the blueberries.
I'm lazy and don't alter the soil for blueberries - just bung 'em in. The soil's probably a bit acidic here though.

That's one of the reasons why I'm going to move the jostaberry, at the moment it's not happy and only about 3fthigh, my FIL has some and they are about 12ft! I think everything does better in the ground rather than pots, as they dry out, but so the blueberries are 'coming out', of their pots.

I'm always putting things in the wrong place
