    I was just thinking that my five gooseberries might make a good sauce for the mackerel. I'll not be sharing it though.

      I just boiled them with a very little water, whizzed it down, tasted. If it's too sharp to eat add a little sugar. I'm sure there are recipes but I usually 'make it out of my own head' - Yeukk!
