  • Protection for an outdoor grape vine?

I planted a grape vine earlier this year, its put on a few leaves but nothing else and when I have just looked it seems to have a bit more new growth. I was wondering what shall I do with it over winter, especially if we are going to get the snow we are promised?

Don't worry about it - they're pretty hardy
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
    Pumpkin pi.

Difficult to tell when growing outdoors, but I think I can safely say it won't be next year.

I got grapes from mine after about 4 years,I've not really known what I've been doing,I think I over prune the growth (to keep it neat against the shed) but it produced three small bunches this year.

Ours goes mental every year despite being hacked back on a regular basis it just surges back with loads of quite small and pippy but very sweet purple fruits.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
