OK we have a very small garden and had to leave my not so 'mini' orchard behind when we moved so, with that in mind what is the best rootstock for an iddy biddy garden?

I am hinting at the kids for vouchers for C=Word so I am hoping to get an apple. pear and plum in.

I don't know if it is of any interest but t+m and van meuwen do patio trees and aren't horribly priced if you go for the collections Van Meuwen - Search Results for patio fruit. Also if anyone happens to shop at tessicos you can boost £5 of vouchers to £15 at t+m or van meuwen.

I have Christmas Pippin on M27 stock. It's just 6ft high and a bit spindly but chucked out a helluvva lot of apples this year.

M27 for apples, quince C for pears and VVA-1 for plums.

Someone like keepers or blackmoors have good selections on varying rootstocks. You will also need to think about pollination (multiple varieties), and also the vigour of the variety (a Bramley on M27 will be much bigger than a weak growing variety also on M27).
