I've bought peaches, an apricot and a nectarine and some apple trees from Blackmoor and been very happy with them.
Never bought from Pomona or bought trained fruit from Blackmoors.
Blackamoor are good. Never used Pomona. Would also recommend keepers, and they have lots of reduced trees at the moment, and one of the biggest selections.

I agree with Paulieb about Blackmoors and Keepers.
I've never used Pomona Fruits. I don't know whether they raise their own nursery stock, like the other two nurseries mentioned, or buy them in. It might be worth studying their website to check this out. Of course ,it might not matter to you either way. However, if they are buying in their stock it's as likely the trees are from the Netherlands as from the UK. Personally, I like to buy my trees from nurseries who graft/bud their own rootstocks.
I bought some trees for my allotment and was initially planning to get them from Pomona, but was put off when I called to ask about their delivery policy. Basically they said they wouldn't be able to give any warning of when items will be dispatched, and I would have no ability to control the delivery date. The person I spoke to kept telling me that they did allow me to have the items delivered to another address or left in a "safe place" but was fairly dismissive when I explained why these options didn't help me (I live in London, don't own a car, am normally at work during the day, and live in a terraced house with nowhere to leave large packages so I need to know when deliveries are coming so I can make arrangements for someone to be home).
After this disappointing experience I then called Blackmoor, who were friendly and helpful and said it would be no problem for me to choose the delivery day. I purchased several trees from them and was very happy with the whole experience, would recommend them without hesitation.
Blackmoor are my go to nursery of choice. Really good customer service, nothing too much trouble and excellent quality plants. They have a good sale at the end of the bare root season every year too, usually an excellent selection. Bought a few maidens that way last year and got quite a bit of a saving .
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
I have ordered from Pomona and found their service good. I think they do raise their own plants because when I asked about delivery they said they had just started lifting other trees not on my order so my order would go after that. They did promise delivery before Xmas and in fact the Blackcurrent, Blackberry, and Blueberry all arrived in early December.
If I remember correctly it was a Sunday which made me think that they have their own delivery vans. Maybe that's why they can't guarantee a specific day for delivery.
I liked the cultural instructions that came with each plant.
To early to say if they will produce good fruit yield, but they seem to be doing OK as of today. Pomona have a few varities that are not in every catalogue. I find so many 'on-line' firms don't give good service these days but I don't have a problem with Pomona and am considering another order. By the way I definately have no connection with them at all.
