Blackcurrants

Brought 2 black current plants from b&m today, the sort that are in a plastic bag.

Can I plant them now on the allotment or should i pot them up and plant later?

Were they inside the store of outside? Do they look dormant or do they have any leaves? If they are still dormant I would plant straight out, having given the roots a good soak first. That assumes your plot isn't either frozen or water logged. If they gave started into growth due to being in a warm store I think you will have to pot them on and harden them off before planting out.

Thanks Wendyc they were brought in doors, have now potted them up to harden off.
