Potted Top Fruit trees in at Lidl @ £5.99 per pot. In on 03/03/16
Apple, Pear, Cherry & Plum.

No details on Lidl app re rootstock or variety

Had a very quick look at what they had on offer at my nearest lidl and I remember the following varieties being on sale (the Cherries appear to have sold out):

Cox's orange pippin
Jonagold (odd choice as it a triploid)
Conference
Opal (plum)

I went in my local Lidl to check out what was on offer. As they are expanding the store they hadn't put them out yet as space is limited. SOD'S LAW!

I will go back tomorrow to see if they are out. From your list though, there is only Opal I really want. However, what you want and what you come home with quite often differs.

yes, they will be fine in large tubs, I lift mine out on each 3rd/4th year in the Feb and trim away some of the larger roots(same as my bonsai) as these feed larger branches so restricting the general size in an easily managed method....
