strawberry varieties

I have tried Cambridge favourite and another old type that I can't remember the name of and was spectacularly unimpressed. I binned them.

I have gariguette which are gorgeous, really sweet with a perfumed taste. Mara de bois also have a really good flavour and you get a second crop from them.

I grow cambridge they are nice, I also grow alpine strawberries which are sweet.
I would recommend cambridge to anyone, easy to grow big fruit and good ground cover.
Should ve getting some white ones soon so will let you know how they are

Someone gave me some white strawberries but due to circumstances beyond our control we left them in pots.
Very unusual taste not really a strawberry flavour, slight pineapple twang. Will plant them out this year and see how we feel about them.
