Still can't decide how to mulch it, I would normally use bark chippings but I seen a tree in a garden centre mulched with decorative stones a few weeks back and it looked quite good.
What do you guys use?

How about a layer of 'pea shingle' about 25mm deep & then pebbles/stones on top for decoration. Maybe pick up a big pebble or two each time you visit the seaside ?He who smiles in the face of adversity,has already decided who to blame

A bag of 10mm or 20mm Gravel from H0meb4ase for about 3 squid, give it a wash & will look great when dried. Plus you'll have spare to throw at the piggins when they start nickin' your apples..............

Aquariums sell some different coloured stones/gravel. My mum uses white gravel in some of her pots,it has a nice clean look. There could be images online? White looks nice with the dark brown bark of the tree,but as your pots terracotta colour a colour from that colour palette might look nicer,earth colours like a red/brown maybe?Location : EssexComment
