What Is This Pest?

I noticed earlier that my redberry has tiny transparent bubble-looking things on it. They have a jelly-like consistency. And no, it's not water droplets I assume they'll hatch into something?

Anyone know what this animal is?

Sorry which type of red berry plant are you referring to? A photo would help enormously.

They could be spittlebugs,surrounded in bubbles. They like my apple tree & buddleia,don't seem to do much harm but I do squash them to keep numbers down.

Haha Spiders! I'm not sure what kind, but the eggs look & size are the exact same. I should have known really as there are loads of them already in my greenhouse. I'll keep them around as hopefully they'll protect my plants from aphids ect

They sound like snail/slug eggs....

...spiders usually guard their eggs too....

...maybe move them outside? Just in case... *suspicious*

I hope it is spiders but webbing on leaves would be like cotton wouldn't it? Did you find what species it is because if it's jelly like it might not be spiders,even if it looks the same. Have you checked all the pests associated with your shrub/tree? There's a woolly vine scale insect & the eggs sound similar.

We had loads of spider eggs last year and they're quite dry and webby, definitely not like jelly. Obviously could be a different kind of spider, but they definitely sound more like slug eggs.

Stick them in a jar and have an experiment

Well, whatever they are, I've carefully removed them & put them outside of the greenhouse. Hopefully that the animals will be okay.
