    ungrateful swines !!!!

Mine were planted too closely this year. Next year I'm spreading them out a bit.

So as an aside ........ when is best to move them ??

Catch up with my daily doings at http://kaypeesplot.blogspot.com/ and http://kaypeeslottie.blogspot.com/ but wait a while cos these are well out of date ! Don't want to ditch them entirely cos I'll never remember the urls !

I made a strawberry bed this Easter using runners from my plants on the patio. From 24 plants I counted about a dozen unripe strawbs and one (1) ripe one - although I wasn't expecting much from them this year. I think the birds may have been busy too... I have cut off all the runners in the hope of getting stronger plants (and a crop) next year.

However, the well-established wild strawberry plants in various clumps around the lottie have kept me supplied with tiny, juicy strawberries!
