  • Anyone grow cordon apples?

Hi all, after some advice on apple cordons. I have grafted my desired varieties onto m9 rootstocks with the intention of growing them as oblique cordons on a 6foot high post and wire trellis.
Now i believe that the purpose of oblique cordons is to limit vigour and all the bumph on internet i,ve read says that m9 reaches approx 6foot height.
I wouldn't like to plant these and have them runt out at say 4 foot and then wish i had planted them vertically instead.
Long winded i know but would appreciate hearing from anyone more knowledgable than i, Many thanks

The size rootstock will grow to is very dependent on your soil and conditions so difficult to comment on

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
