One melon per plant..

As per the title, I only have one fruit per plant!?

Two different varieties..I've tried feeding, not feeding, keeping them dry, keeping them damp.. paintbrush on the flowers, keeping the greenhouse humid and dry..it's just not happening!.

Any suggestions for more fruit!?

You have 1 more per plant than I do. I have leaves and stems, but nothing else - no flower buds even. Same thing happened last year. These are outdoor varieties (Alvaro and magenta) being grown in a greenhouse, so they can't complain its too cold!

I have lost melons two years running due to the cold, and that is in the greenhouse, that's how bad it can be around here in the summer. When we do get a good summer I usually get up to 4 off each plant,very late this year but 2 on one and possibly 3 on the other, saved honeydew seeds from a previous crop. what I need now is an indian summer, but not holding my breath, still it would be nice...and a change...

I think we're due a heatwave down here next week.. although the greenhouse window and door are open now 24/7..

..I've been persevering with the paintbrush and holding back more on the watering and I think I might have another fruit on one plant..although it's not quit passed that stage where they look like they're going to grow and then die!.

I've only got one melon ( 2 plants ) and I was quite happy with that till I read this thread

My seeds are from supermarket fruit garla & honeydew. So I'm happy with any fruit. I only got one fruit last year. Didn't realise it had produced till I was about to rip the plant out at the end of the season. I found a ripe little Melon just a bit bigger than a tennis ball. It tasted lovely.
This years fruit is tennis ball sized already so I have high hopes for him

I agree cptcrackoff a few more fruit would be nice. I'm off to crawl round on my hands and knees with a paint brush

the summer is back to normal, heavy coats and hats, in july, who would have thought it?, central heating on as the house has got too cold, much more of this and another years melons will die on the plant, and they still keep wittering on about global warming, I know where they can shove their "global warming"..... with brexit, will we get our sunny summers back? they claimed just about everything else didn't they...

My melon plants have several fruits on them, but all are the size of peas so far. I'd rather have one the size of the photo you posted!
