Can Anyone Identify This Lemon Tree Bug Problem?

Hi everyone,

Found this site by searching for a problem I have with my lemon tree and am hoping someone will be able to help.

We have recently repotted our lemon tree. Since the repotting the leaves have started to turn yellow and holes are appearing! We have also found a little worm like creature, just the one though. Seems to be a lot of damage for one tiny grub!

We are in the UK and the lemon tree is in a pot indoors. We live on the coast.

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong or point me in the right direction for help?

Indoor Lemon Tree Problem

Sorry for posting again but the pictures in my last post were not showing and when i click to edit it it doesn't allow me to add photos. I cannot delete the post either!

My problem is, (I think) bugs. The leaves are turning yellow and have holes in them. We have just repotted it so not sure if that is a problem or not.

Have found one tiny grub, about half a centimetre long but nothing else.

It could be a light brown apple moth caterpillar? They look similar to the moth caterpillars that affect different fruits,like the bright line brown eye moth caterpillar that affect tomatoes. I found 2 or 3 earlier on my sweet pepper plant,holes in nearly every leaf but they weren't interested in the tomato plant in the same pot it's untouched? Look out for eggs on leaves or webbing where they change into their next stage of growth with darker colouring etc...

The leaves look like a mineral deficiency more than bug damage....

Looks very similar to the sawfly family,I would wipe down every leaf to get rid of any more, I don't use chemicals so would feed the plant and keep wiping.. and look forward to fresh lemon with a good gin and tonic..

I have recently bought some Neem Oil to treat some plants on the plot against beasties that eat plants. I don't see why you cant treat the Lemon Tree with it.
