  • Fig tree problem

Have in the greenhouse a fig tree which has this year a lot of brown on the leaves. Now some of the fruit are going the same way.
Any idea what the problem is.
    Thanks.

Have you got any pictures? Are the brown patches wet or dry? Age, height? In a bed or a pot?

The brown patches are dry like dust on the leaves and fruit but will not rub off. The fig has been grown as a standard in a large pot and last year produced a lot of fruit. Have had a lot of bother with my tomatoes this year with what looks like the same thing. Both are in the same greenhouse.
Tried to post a photo but not use to this thing yet.
      Thanks for any help.

It sounds like rust. We have had problems with it on various plants this year. The rhs link below will give you more information.

^^^^^^ as above. Is that what you have? I think there are some help pages on the forum home page that will help you with the photos.
