I abandoned the melon plants over a month ago, as the growing fruit just dropped off in the constant cold days and nights just getting into double figures. I had them either end of the greenhouse border, with all the toms in between, I was out putting on the tom feed last week and noticed 3 fruit on the two plants, about the size of good med/large apples, a lovely surprise benefit when I had given up on them, as the previous two years fruit had perished due to poor weather.. a little sunshine and a few warm breezes will work wonders, so I will be watching them now, very closely......mmmm

it all depends on the dodgy weather and my dodgy legs, one or the other has to be working, so sometimes it can be days before I can get out there, I did feed them all today, the sun is out/in/out/in/out but even with the breeze it is still warm....lovely..

when I said I fed them, I meant the melons and toms, not me legs...
