the rain has stopped for a bit, still dark but it is dry. I tied in the new (autumn) raspberry stems as they were flopping all over the place, this revealed that the peas are starting to produce at long last, it looks like its going to be a good crop, starting next week by the looks of it, having done that I had a walk around the garden, and found on the other side of the plum tree was a very reasonable crop, yet none show from the front side, weird or what, not one single plum showing, I had thought that it was a "miss" year where we get nowt, followed by a glut year, but they are at least a month behind but colouring up nicely, just as OH says we have no room for anymore fruit in the freezer and we cannot keep up, even with the five a day, so we will have to give all the fresh stuff away, and try to consume the coffins (big , long, freezer) contents. the local greengrocer will always buy fresh chemical free foods it we choose to go that way. I might just get another dwarf peach, nectarine or apricot as we never get enough of their taste, just limited by greenhouse space...
