apple flower buds

Hello old friends - apologies because I'm a bit rusty on messaging.
We've recently taken on a brand new garden in Essex and planted 3 fruit trees (hoping they will be pollinated but that's another issue). We're waiting for the leaves to fall so that we can prune/shape them. I noticed today the apple tree has beautiful flower buds forming on the edge of each branch (which I had hoped to prune). Will I be doing the tree/s a favour by ridding them of premature buds before the frosts, or will I cause damage?

you are not on your own with fruit flowering so late, my Williams pear is doing the same at the moment, and it is down to the odd weather we have had this year, the long cold spring, the temperature drop in august with the "indian" summer that followed, the plants are really confused. trim off those branches with no problems as the winter would kill off any fruit that could form, so you can trim/train your branches and build up the branch structure to make it a productive tree.. good luck...

If you know the varieties of apple we can try & help with pollination issues,if they flower at the same time/month they should be alright there's a list here that might be more helpful~
