If they are in pots you will definitely have to feed.
I feed high nitrogen for green growth then as the fruit starts to appear I will change to high potash to swell the fruit.
To date mine have been fed twice with Miracle Grow and this will continue every 2/3 weeks until I change to Tomorite when the fruit appears. There are of course organic feeds if you prefer but I know little or nothing about those.
