When do I start feeding my trees?

I have about 20-30 fruit trees and 70+ trees total. Last year I fed them some organic pellets and the fish blood and bone stuff. When should I start feeding this year? When I see buds or when they're in full leaf? I don't mind non organic feed for the normal trees but I want to keep the fruit organic.

Do I feed berries too? Blueberries, gooseberries, that kind of stuff?

Feed the soil with manure and the trees & soft fruit will take whatever nutrients they require to flourish.
Feed the trees with fertilizer and you may as well grow trees on sand.

I agree with fishpond. If you want to feed them it is better to do as that French lady did and "let them eat cake".

Well rotted manure and home produced compost if possible, also seaweed if it is available in quantity(supplies all the trace elements for healthy growth).

Feed them with organic mulch, compost and manure, avoid touching the trunk to any depth. The more area you mulch the less competition from grass/weeds the tree has to contend with. Brown cardboard under the mulch kills weeds faster. Each year top up the compost/woodchip/mulch/manure and let nature do the rest. When you prune you can chop and drop too or shred and return it (if it's not contaminated).

I shall be using an azalea fertiliser on my blueberries soon.

I have a little woodchipper and a willow tree needs to be cut down, the smaller branches can be chipped along with clippings from the beech hedge and a dead walnut tree. Maybe I'll put down some cardboard, put some chicken manure & sawdust on it and some wood chippings too. I'll try that on a few trees and see how I get on.
