Hi, just received a free packet of HARBINGER tomato seeds with my order
I have never seen this one before , any idea of flavour / size etc thank you heidi
I grew it once - It is a standard size salad tomato (not cherry) and tasted ok, but nothing special for me to grow it again, but taste differs between one person and another - so you may love it.
If it helps, I prefer tomatoes with a bit of tartness to them, rather than the sweeties others rave over
It depends what else you're planning to grow. I try to grow a mix of different cultivars so that I get a range of colours and sizes. Harbinger are a standard red tomato much like Ailsa Craig, Moneymaker, Matina, or Alicante and I tend to grow a couple of those each year.
I Love "Harbingers" and grow it most years, for the same reason most have said, it is a standard size run of the mill tomato you can put to all uses, not one all Tomato conosears reach for, but a good all round heirloom variety!

Hi, I also had a free packet of harbinger seeds, been told that they are a great flavoured tommy, and average size, let you know for sure in august. heidi
