For the last three years I have taken extra runners at the end of the season, bob em in small MFB and for the last two years have had good results, hoping for the same this year.Potty by name Potty by nature.

Last weekend I had to dig up all the Strawberries in my bed on plot 1 and dig/weed the whole bed and get all the bindweed roots out that had infested the bed. Replanted the main plants back and took all the rooted runners and none rooted ones home to pot on, now have 35 new plants in pots and may create a new bed in plot 2.
Here's a piccie of the replanted bed.

Nice looking plant potstubsdustbins, lots of flowers. I guess that's not a brand new plant this year looking at how many flowers it's got.
I've got a Mara De Bois which has one berry turning red, in my heated growhouse. I should be able to sample my first ever Mara within a few days, can't wait.

^^^^^^^^^^All from new runners last autumn, then potted up and left to over winter in the GH.
I do keep the GH at 10'C from the first week in March to protect my indoor spuds and basically that's it.Potty by name Potty by nature.

They look to have done very well...
I think the extra warmth from the 10C minimum might well help them crop sooner. Hope you get you hands on a few yourselfLast edited by JusPotterinTim; 28-04-2017, 04:06 PM.
