Sap balls on apricot tree

Planted last autumn, my 3yr old apricot has some balls of sap on the branches. Is this something to worry about?

It is something to keep an eye on. Gummosis is a sign of stress and your tree may well recover, but there may be something else going on and that could be doing your tree in. Basically oozey sap not an issue, why you have oozey sap could be.
