Barerooted planting now.....

So I emailed the company that sold me my black current bush as it wasn't growing and I wanted some advice..... They have sent me another one just assuming that it is defunk, except I now have a bare rooted bush it's a heat wave!!!!! Can I plant it out? What are my choices? Seems strange they have it 'lyin' around to send. Thought it sound be end of winter for bare rooted?

Yes strange as most will not send out bare rooted blackcurrants after the end of March.

I can only suggest standing the roots in a bucket of water until tomorrow night and then plant it with plenty of compost and a very deep mulch and then water it in again and again so that it does not get dry. If you think it is drying out then water it again.

It is probably possible to plant up in a big pot and again keep it moist and then plant it out next spring if it survives.

I'm pleased to say that all my 8 trees are showing signs of life.
Give your plants a good soak - in a bucket overnight. Prepare the planting hole and give that a good watering and bung the plant in - that's what I'd do anyway.

You should be OK following above tips. It might be worth putting some of that 'root grow' stuff on the roots and in the hole before you plant it. (Sorry can't remember name it's one of those weird ones haha) I did that with my loganberry a few weeks back, it was looking decidely dodgy when it arrived but has perked up quite well now.
