I bough a czar plum about 4 years ago, it was about a foot tall and sold as a column shaped tree.
I finally got it in the garden last winter after bringing it on in a pot to about 6 feet.
It has never flowered, it has always had plenty of leaves on it although they have a tendency to curl sometimes.
This morning I have noticed what looks like the start of red flowers.
I am wondering if it is actually a plum tree or wether I have been sold something else, it was bought online from Chriss Bowers.

Thanks in advance for any help

It is very likely to be a plum. What is showing in the pic is damaged leaves from aphids. It won't harm the tree and you may find bees coming along to milk the aphids. I can take pics from several of my trees if you would like reassurance

Personally I would spray to get rid of the aphids. Those leaves like that cannot be producing the food as expected for the tree also aphids can carry infections.

Bit simplistic but if they are not open green flat leaves then there is a problem. If your hand curled up like that would you not bother to visit a Dr to get it fixed.

I have seen the ladybirds at it for the last several weeks so it won't be long before their larvae is about to clear them. It is personal preference whether you spray or not.
