Hi guys! Long time no see! Quick question... strawberries, raspberries, red currants all SOUR. And I mean sour. Dreadful! Any ideas why? These are plants I've had for approximately 3 years. The strawberries are from runners mainly from last year. Ibe never been so disappointed by my fruit crop

i let my fruit ripen up well before picking, I learned this from the goosegogs, which were so so sour, I left the rest for 3-4 weeks and they turned darker, softer, and oh so lovely, it certainly taught me to be patient, it cant be just lack of sun, the amount we get here would not be enough to warrant buying one of those "instant" barbeques, by the time it would be alight, it would be raining again..
but at least in the summer its warm rain..Last edited by BUFFS; 15-06-2017, 06:54 PM.

I harvested my first ever strawberries yesterday, as someone who kills plant by just looking at them, both were extremely sour/bittery tasting, but that couldn't hide the smile on my face of growing my own, even though I ended up looking like homer simpson after eating a lemonBojack : One day, you’re gonna look around and you’re going to realize that everybody loves you, but nobody likes you. And that is the loneliest feeling in the world
