I bought this 2 years ago. Its in an 18 inch diameter pot. The tree is about 3 feet high and is bushing out nicely, I think it was trained to be 'flat' but I prefer a bushy shape. It looks very healthy and happy.
I did not feed it last year, but have chucked some feed on it this year a couple of times while feeding other plants.
Any useful info on fig growing and what sort of crop I might hope for in a few years?
I met another customer at a garden centre the other week and she said her family fig tree (less than 20 years planted) produced more fruit than they could use or give away, I think she said around 400 fruits. I am hoping not to have a plant that enthusiastic as I would not want to see the fruit wasted, unless local wildlife would eat the fallen fruit?
