I purchased online just over a month ago 4ft high Braeburn and Gala apple trees which were sold as a pair. The two trees were planted in large containers along with other trees I already have. Although both trees are looking healthy without any leaf drop I have noticed that the Gala has started to put on a small amount of new growth but there is no sign of any new growth showing on the Braeburn. Does anyone know if this is normal? Does the Gala grow faster than the Braeburn? I would be interested to know.

New Braeburn and Gala Apple Trees in Containers
Hello TrixC. Now that is interesting. So the Braeburn originates in NZ. With regards to feeding, yes the tree is being fed. The tree itself is looking very healthy but as I said there are as yet no new buds breaking unlike the Gala. Perhaps I just have to be patient. I was expecting to have apples within on week of planting.
Best regards,
Greg
