the melons have been failing for weeks now in the constant darkness, but, a word of warning........., if of a nervous disposition........., easily alarmed..........., or just downright timid,...wait for it......,the sun has come out. yeeeeeaaaahhhhhh, the yanks go dulally over 3 minutes of darkness, we have had 3 months, however would they cope?.. the only certainty is that it wont be there tomorrow..

I have always said we need a gardening program(s) solely in the most extreme places in real peoples gardens - it would make fascinating viewing and teach many coping skills to other gardeners
