Please can anyone suggest an alternative to the 'no longer available' Bordeaux mixture?

    Best regards,
    Greg

You can't obtain it now because of Brexit?

Yes, I know, that is why I said 'no longer available' in my message. I am looking for an available alternative that will do the job instead. Perhaps a copper based product or is it the copper that is in Bordeaux mixture that caused it's ban?

      Best regards,
      Greg

I know it says for deficiencies but if you read the Amazon reviews it seems to do the job

Bordeaux mixture is a combination of two readily available and legal ingredients. Just saying.

Do people spray on aspirin as an anti fungal nowadays?

I've made my own in the past - you do need to mix it in a plastic container with a wood stirrer, as it can interact with metal ones. Not v tricky to do as long as you can get finely ground ingredients - probably illegal too I expect.

I think I'll leave it, sounds a wee bit dangerous! I love my garden, I don't want to blow it up!!!

No more, in fact probably less dangerous than making a cup of tea, but like anything-else you have to use some sense - I certainly wouldn't spray it on a crop I planned to eat for example.

The big problems with all the antifungals that used to be available to the gardener is that the EU forced the manufacturers to provide tons of new information on their products. Because of the cost most if not all companies supplying these garden products took them off the market. They even took the tar oil out of ***** Fluid which was one of the best winter washes available. There are experiments being carried out in New Zealand usung a milk solution on grapes. A 40-60% solution is sprayed in bright sunlight and the proteins are supposed to damage the fungal spores. Safer than fungicides but probably not as effective. Fungicides are still available to those who farm commercially. You can get some fungicides in spray bottles for roses etc. Bit small for my 60 vines.
