I used to wrap my peach tree(when I had one) in bubblewrap and hand pollinate with a soft paintbrush.

I passed the greenhouse that I left on my previous plot where I had the peach tree planted in the gable end and they have cut it down to the ground!

It's been snowing here today for the first time in over 2 years. Quite chilly.

Re global warming: I think the idea is that the overall average temperature of the Earth is apparently rising. It doesn't mean that every spot will be correspondingly warmer.

but all the "experts" seem to have their cottages in southern france and other warm areas of the same ilk, and come back here to lecture us on global warming before jetting back to their weekend retreats.
