Figured I'd have a bash at something a little different this year 
These are bought seeds (as apposed to harvested from a pomegranate fruit).
The sowing instructions say to sow in normal fashion into pots or trays, place in a propagator at 20-30 Celcius, then place in darkness until after germination which can take 1-4 months
Where would I site it though to achieve these conditions?
Option 1: The obvious place would probably be on top of the boiler, as I have mine in the attic i.e. darkness, but then the heat would not be constant or even. But I could use a standard seed tray with clear lid, no extra equipment necessary.
Option 2: A 2nd propagator (my main tray is set up in front of a window and is in use already) placed in the attic (where there is a single power point already), c/w standard seed tray with clear lid. This'd have to be bought / acquired specially.
Option 3: I make a space for a small tray with clear lid within my existing propagator tray (there's only four seeds to sow in the packet anyway), but customize the small tray so that it excludes light, either applying black vinyl or black paint to the outside of the propagator lid.
This would need to be totally sealed in order to be effective as the current main tray is sited downstairs in daylight. If it were totally sealed, would that pose it's own problems with getting too humid inside?

I should add that my only real experience of starting plants off in darkness is the odd potato that's rolled to the back of the cupboard and been forgotten about...
