  • Turning potted fruit trees/bushes

Hi, I have a few blueberries and an apple tree in pots, and I'm in the process of finalising their positions on the plot.
As they've just started to come into bud, and have been left alone for at least a year until now, i wondered whether changing their orientation might upset them or set them back in any way?

No real idea but I wouldn't think so. I'd advocate, turning them fairly regularly as a matter of course to balance out the growth towards the light . Having said that, trees rooted in the ground can't be turned

I'm going to vote against turning, but I haven't tried it, so I could well be wrong.

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer.....but when I buy a potted plant I always plant it up in the position it looks best! So I would turn it without a thought.

          I wouldn’t worry, I’m sure they’ll adapt, particularly if they’re young trees.
