Think the quince have here is a flowering large bush type. About 2m tall by 3m wide on a wall. Fruit is yellow and somewhere between large strawberry, small apple in size. Question is does this produce something edible and therefore deserve attention such as adding manure , seaweed, etc ?

Sounds like you have something more like an ornamental quince - those are usually grown for the flowers, but I think you can still eat the fruit if you want to. Perhaps the best bet would be to boil some down with a bit of sugar and see what they taste like - if you like the flavour then you could see whether the size would be better if the tree got a bit more looking after.

Hi all,
Lardman kindly sent pear Scion and I am counting days to graft it.
In the meantime, I would like to apply a winter tree wash but there is always minus degrees overnight. Shall I still wait or apply? I am doing my own mix with baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and soap.
Cheers

Any idea whether I could graft conference scions from a friends one onto my fruiting flowering ornamental type quince (large bush about 2m tall by 3m wide on a wall.
