Curling strawberry leaves

So for the past week, I've noticed the leaves on my strawberry plant curling. I thought it was due to the hot weather but despite regular watering, there's been no improvement.

There's no mould or black spots visible. Strawberries have started to form but still small and green fruit.

What should i do?

Do you have a photograph? That'd tell us if curling leaves upward or downward, old or new leaves etc.

Will upload a photo tomorrow. All the leaves of the plant are affected and they're curling inwards on the top surface ie upwards.

Where is it? Indoors, outdoors? In a pot or the ground?

Check under the leaves for powdery mildew white spores? I had spider mite on some outside strawberries years ago,check the leaf edges for webbing?

Look pretty well OK to me - might be a bit short of water.

Some possible reasons

Attack from pest generally cause the leaf to curl, so ensure there are no bugs trying to make a home inside the curl.

Watering, we've been very dry for a few weeks now so daily watering in a tub is advised.

Make sure you feed regularly as they will eventually exhaust the soil of nutrients and start to turn pale/yellow on the leaf.

Sunlight might be the issue, and you might find they are curling because it is too hot for them, the strawberries need light and warmth as they are developing but, the container is black so is retaining a lot of heat if it is in direct sunlight. Try moving the pot to a location that is in partial shade or full shade at the heat of the day and see if the plants improve.

In general they look pretty healthy so it is not having too much affect yet whatever it is.

Will do. I've been watering alternate days currently,

I feed once weekly with tomorite. Should I increase this?

Am happy to move it. Currently it gets the sun from about 9 till about 4.

I moved my strawberry planter today. But before I did so, I had a closer look:




I'm still concerned.

Still look a bit on the dry side - try standing them in a tray of water for 30 mins.
