I am planning on planting a gooseberry and red currant up against a south facing fence, I want to train them as double cordons, can anyone tell me the spacing between the two leader shoots and space between plants.
Second Nicks spacings. I have Gooseberries and redcurrants trained as triple cordons - plants spaced 3 foot apart with 12" between the cordons. They're against a fence with wires every 18-24" and I've tied canes vertically at each cordon position as this makes it easier to tie them in during the season before the wood ripens.
